Russian Navy
draft - 08 Sept'08
Russia inherited most of the USSR warships. On 8Sep'08 two of their most modern ships, the battle cruiser RFS Peter the Great and the destroyer RFS Admiral Chabanenko were announced to go to the Caribbean for exercises in November with Venisaula.
Peter's battle cruiser class are the largest ships currently in service round the world.
Chabanenko is the newest and only member of Udaloy II class of multipurpose destroyer and is intended to be the Russian counterpart to the American Arleigh Burke class of 52 ships. The Udaloy-II is modified reflecting a change in emphasis from ASW to anti-shipping, however, her standoff ASW capability is retained by firing missiles from the torpedo tubes.
