Hello Jim,
How goes it all after the terrorist attacks on Sept 11?

Denise and I were invited to Washington for the presentation of the
USS Canberra ship's bell to my Prime Minister at the Washington
Navy Yard on Monday the 10th of September 2001.

We had a lovely ceremony, and actually met George Bush, who came
down from the dais with the PM to say hello to us both, and we
managed a photograph with them both.

Then the next day it all hit the fan, we later learned that
we were booked on that fatal American Airlines flight 77,
and at the last moment taken off so we could attend with the
Prime Minister a ceremony at Arlington Cemetery on that Tuesday,
so we were very lucky!!
