Admiral Nimitz -- CinC Pacific Fleet Lt. General Buckner -- Alaska
Chester W. Nimitz -- Commander in Chief of Pacific Fleet. Assigned to run the Pacific War soon after Pearl Harbor. Successfully brought victory !
Delos C. Emmons -- assigned to run the Hawaiian Department, Army and Air Force, soon after Pearl Harbor. Later headed Western Defense Command
Frank J. Fletcher -- Commanded the first three of five great carrier battles of WW2 sinking 6 enemy carriers in the first nine months of the war. Later commanded the North Pacific and accepted surrender of the Japanese northern fleet.
Raymond A. Spruance -- Commander of cruisers of V.Adm Halsey's task force until Midway when he became a task force commander under Fletcher, then Nimitz's chief of staff. Later, alternated with Halsey as commander Carrier Strike Force.
Simon B. Buckner -- At the start of the war was in charge of Alaska. Later commanded 10th Army and the invasion of Okinawa. Highest ranking officer killed in WW2.
